Organizational Psychologist

Dr. Melinda Sue Norin is best known for her award winning marketing strategies and training programs in the transportation alternatives field. She has been selected by the largest organizations in the country to design and implement strategies to change employee attitudes and behavior.

Organizations contracting services include the County of Los Angeles, County of Ventura, County of San Bernardino, City of Los Angeles, LA County/USC Medical Center, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, Home Depot, DWP, USPS, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Prime America, Latham & Watkins, and Hunt Wesson Foods.

Dr. Norin has consulted or trained hundreds of organizational representatives in Santa Monica over the past two decades. Some of the other 6,000 representatives Dr. Norin has worked with include staff from the IRS, FBI, UCLA, USC, Caltrans, and Metro (formerly MTA), hotels, hospitals, aerospace, educational facilities, restaurants, law firms, banks, insurance organizations and leaders in the technology field. Projects have included developing marketing strategies, computer tracking programs, preparing governmental forms, creating policies and procedures, developing motivational tools for management, public speaking presentations, to name a few.

Dr. Norin was recognized for three consecutive years as the Employee of the Year at Commuter Transportation Services (now Metro), also earning a Diamond Award from Metro for her consulting leadership and strategies at LAC+USC Medical Center. She was also recognized by Latham & Watkins, Jurupa School District; and by the board of the Los Angeles Unified School District, representing 300 schools, with a Certificate of Recognition. Previously, she was elected President of the 800-member Association of Commuter Transportation. In college she hailed as President of the journalism society, Sigma Delta Chi and as well as President of the Public Relations Student Society of America which helped her earn two scholarships from professional public relations organizations.

In 2016, Dr. Norin completed her doctoral thesis on “The Value and Application of Knowledge Management for Organizational Excellence” at Phillips Graduate University becoming an Organizational Psychologist. Previously she earned Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Speech Communication and Journalism at California State University, Northridge.
